This workshop may not be for you if:

  • you’re looking for perfection and a pattern, this process is a bit unpredictable (but that’s what make is fun!)
  • you’re not willing to play, experiment and bring an attitude of fun
  • you’re looking for a super polished Hollywood production- this is a beta workshop and we’ll be working together to make this a great course
  • you don’t like learning online

But what if...

Worried you’re not creative enough?

Everyone can be creative with the right guidance, this is just a limiting thought we often have. This class will be more about play and getting back to our inner creative self that is just there waiting for us.

Don’t have enough time?

Each lesson will drop at the beginning of the week, and if we you need more time, you can absolutely take it. The lessons will be there for when you can watch them, and the live sessions will all be recorded for you if you can’t make one.

Feel nervous /fearful/ uncomfortable without a plan or a pattern?

Completely understandable, but you can do this. The lessons and the live sessions are there to support you, because although you maybe new to this, I am not. I will be there to guide you and you can help guide me as to what you need to know.

Worried it will be a waste of time and fabric, will turn out a mess, look thrown together/be an utter failure?

This one is related to the one above. Once we dive into the designing part of the course, you will understand why some designs work and others look like a mess. You will  understand, and be able to edit your own work with confidence (and the help of the group).

Don't know how to construct an improv piece

You will get detailed video instructions for the curved applique technique and how to use it for improv work (or anything else).

I can’t afford this right now

And that’s why the beta pricing is perfect for you, so you can get all the good stuff before it doubles in price.

Here's what you need to know

  •   Format: hybrid online lessons with video and  3 live  Zoom sessions
  • Length: 6-8 weeks
  • Start Date: January 3, 2026 ,  Saturdays 2 PM EST
  • Delivery Platform: Zenler and Zoom
  • Price: Beta-$197 with payment plan option

Here's what one of my student's had to say:

Patricia Marchionno " I appreciate all you have shared and find you to be an awesome fiber artist who is compassionate and committed to share your knowledge , with a very unique style of teaching . I appreciate the attitude and attention you give to the learning process as you put yourself in your students shoes knowing we are beginning a process and we bring all levels of experience to the class. You frame yourself as also one who is learning. Love everything about your class."

What will you create?
Small samples and units to learn the technique and later a larger improv piece to learn about balance and design.
 What's different about this course?
The curved applique technique that allows for freely creating without templates and patterns. The personal coaching and live sessions to help with designing as you go.

A personal invitation from me to you

If you love the excitement of creating something that’s never been seen before, then you should join me in co-creating this class. If you’ve been feeling the frustration of being bored by the same old projects and want to break out of that pattern, then join me! Paralysis, fear, self-doubt and overwhelm, begone! Let’s design this thing together and in the process open up a new freedom and joy in your art quilting practice. This will be a safe and non-judgmental space where we can learn together in a nurturing framework for creativity. I’m so excited to bring this creative playground right to your inbox.
